MiamiAir
Does anyone have any info about Miamiair
(Fly for them/ know someone that does)? Feel free to PM me. Thanks!! |
a guy I work with ( strike with I guess) at Polar flew for them before he left to go to Emery. He said they had quite a few bitter scabs and did not like it at all ( not the people nor the company). but he got a type and some jet experience and in 13 months he went to work for Emery ( and then Polar)

Well, I guess today you have to sign a contract for 3 years (24000$), so it's a "bit" harder to leave earlier. That's why any info about flying there is important.
|
WOW!!!!!
Are you going to sign it? |
F### THAT CONTRACT SH##t. Consult a lawyer see if they can really get you ( it will cost you $200 for the consultation) if they can't, sign it and leave as soon as you can. the miami air owner is an ex eastern scab fu#K him and his f###ing contrac.

What is this contract all about?
Is this 3 year/$24000 contract mean that if you leave before 3 years, you have to pay them $24000? or does it mean that they take money out of your pay for 3 years to pay back their $24,000 training expenses?

Hey guys,
You know the bottom line is that the MAJORITY of the airlines out there DO NOT ask you to sign a contract of any sort for training. It has been my experience that any carrier that asks you to do this has something very very wrong going on if they can not keep employees. The contract should be a warning flag to you. Plain and Simple. If they can not run their business in such a way that an employee can work and live a "decent life" while employed there, then they should not be in business. And that goes for any industry. Not just the airlines. Regards, W |
contract
From what I understand the contract is 24000$ for 3 years. You leave after one year, pay 16000$, two years, pay 8000$ and so on- prorarte....nothing out of the salary.
They give you the 737-800 type rating and trying to avoid people getting typed and running away.As far as "something wrong" there, I don't know, that's what I'm trying to find out. How's the schedule, pay, days off etc. |
How is their maintenance and scheduling? Any reason to worry about their operation soiling a clean ticket?
