Default obap 2019

Couldnt find previous relevant posts but at this years OBAP in LAX is it necessary to stay all 3 days for the career fair or is it possible to hit all potential employers booths etc in a single day?

In general as I have never been before how do these usually go. Show up for registration and then just walk around with some resumes to each place your interested in. I assume there are lines that you will wait in.

Thanks.

never attended OBAP, only experience has been NGPA the last two years. From my experience expect to wait in long lines to see any legacy/major carrier. The booths for the Fractionals, Part 135 operators, and everyone are usually not an issue. United and Delta each had a power point presentation with limited seating. If you wanted to wait in line for UPS or FedEx, it was usually an hour unless either was your first stop. Nothing related to OBAP but hope it helps.

Why don't you go on day 2 or 3? Hardly anyone is there...

Does anyone have a list of which companies will be at the career fair? None of that seems to be listed on the OBAP site.

Do one of those dna ancestor/23 & me tests and take the results to the career fair. You can show them you are 5% whatever and use that as an advantage showing the company you can add “diversity” to its workforce. Or as one captain said a while back just identify as a woman.

I hear there’s an app this year to cue people for the career fair. Can anyone who signed up recently give me some insight as to how long the cue is currently? Looking at United and jetBlue. I can only attend the first day...

Thanks

Career Fair Access Procedures

You have been assigned a priority number based on the date and time that you registered for #OBAPCON2019. The earlier you registered, the lower your priority number will be.

Priority numbers will be printed on the front of your convention badge. Badges are provided during check-in at the registration booth on the Lobby Level of the Hilton Los Angeles Airport Hotel. Registration will open for check-in Tuesday, July 30th from 5pm – 9pm, and from 7am – 6pm on Wednesday, July 31st and Thursday, August 1st, and from 7am - 2pm on Friday, August 2nd ( we will keep registration open on Friday, August 2nd from 2pm - 6pm for Gala ticket pick-up only). Your Career Fair Registration is good for any or all three days.

When the Career Fair opens Wednesday, July 31st at 11:15 am, priority access numbers will be pushed out to attendees through the OBAP Mobile App, so if you haven’t done so already, please download the app and turn on notifications to receive updates. Priority access numbers will be updated in real time. When your priority number appears, you may head to the Plaza Ballroom on the Lower Level to enter the Career Fair.
