Nice new equipment, a possible quick upgrade and start on board with something new and be a part of it. I think the F.O. mins are high because it is a start up and they need experienced people that will be able to upgrade quickly when the time comes and be able to make it through training. They can't hire some guy with 800TT and 100ME at this point. I am sure when things get up and running the mins will come down. I have not seen any start up airline yet that does not require higher times. The pay is lower but then again like someone pointed out, Skywest pays $19hr to start and people think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I would rather be flying around in a nice new Q400 than flying 6 legs a day in an old EMB-120 with no FMS. From what I understand, second year pay and lots of other issues are not sorted out, but I am sure that will come with time and may end up being much better than many places.

I don't really understand the "seniority opportunity" reasoning. It's a regional, and a low paying regional at that.
The whole point of getting a low seniority number is so that you can make a lot of money. It doesn't really matter what your seniority number is at Lynx, you're never gonna make much money.
It's more likely that people will use the place for a quick upgrade, and then leave to go to a major or fractional where they can make twice as much eventually. The only reason for seniority here is to build PIC time, or get a good schedule.
