Stay in Texas, build your time and look into doing a SIC gig at say Flight Safety or Simu Flite. I know you may read this and say huh?, but IMO you could get a lot of contacts for potential employment. The corporate world may be the fastest route to $ and PIC turbine. Also most of the regionals are either furloughing or have 7 year upgrade times. Just some ideas, and for reference I have been at a regional for 6.5 years and get to see the left seat everyday (just never sit in it)!

SIC Turbine SE isnt worth much and comparing a 208 to an F-16 is a bit far fetched. I did your option 2 at your school and couldnt be happier with my decisions. I was home everyday instructing and then got hired at a regional where i am now based at home in Houston. Its all up to you my friend whatever works for you.

Look into the right seat program at CAE or flightsafety and instruct in dallas while you do it if corporate is you pref. I would stay away from The hawaii gig and China sounds like no fun to me and actually will probably have you instruct longer than you would have to in states. I instructed for just under a year and got hired at a good regional with 1000 tt and 210 multi. Good luck

I thought the Caravan was a single pilot aircraft....

Anyhow, I would stay in TX. As a flight instructor, you'll likely be able to make many valuable contacts to help your career.

Where in TX are you located?

208 SIC..... hmm. Not even a gear handle to be in charge of.

quit flying a get a finance degree. that way, you can be on the dishing-out end in management instead of the receiving end as you would be as a pilot.

If you want an adventure.. go overseas.. you only live once. I've been flying overseas with the military most of my life and love it. Having said that... There are many other opportunities besides China. I saw that post and thought it would be a cool job, but things are a bit depressed there. Look up http://www.wingsofpeace.org/employment.html . They fly caravans around South America. You can build hours and have a cool adventure before you lock yourself into the 121 career crawl. Once you get started.. it'll be hard to take some time off to see the world. Do it now while you're still young.

Both are all good, up to you

The training school in China is also an international training school, the most of instructors are come from overseas, and the students all need to pass English exam, then can have course study, so you need not worry the communication, and you can have chance to learn quite different culture and people. What you need to worry about in this school, is the food, you may not find western food there, as it is far away from the city where there is werstern restaurant;maybe you will feel bored, as there is no enough entertainment in the base. But you can get enough flight hours and experience working in China. Just make sure your working contract is perfect.
