Cathay Pacific / Reserves-Guard Duty ???

I've heard CP is hiring and pays very well. I've got no qualms about going to live overseas. My question is, does anyone have any experience with them as far as military reserve or guard duty? I'll be leaving the Navy with 11 years and want to finish out my 20 (or more) with the Air National Guard. I know US airlines must let you go for military duty, and cannot replace you. Any comments or experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks,
RJC

No experience here, but my guess is that a China based carrier really wouldn't be too concerned with your obligations to the US military.

Good Luck & let us know what you find out.

"watch this" is correct, they do not and will not care about what Uncle Sams expects from you.

However, what you do on your days off is your business...if you manage to get the days off and attend to your duties, then good..but don't expect them to honor your US military commitments.

good luck

We do not grant leave for foreign military service. Scheds here are assigned on a monthly basis, not bid on; so attempting to arrange a sched around this, I would think, would be very challenging indeed.

Good luck,
Cheers
