Try blackwater aviation...They hire lots of pilots and x-special forces types.

They may have fixed wing positions. Most of their jobs are for helo pilots.

You may want to try PHI Helicopter company - they hire fixed wing pilots for 'support' in Angola / African oil fields.

Get life insurance before you head out the door...

Evergreen posted a job for a Lear pilot in Afganistan, and like LA said, Blackwater hires for Metroliner guys.. but they are tough to get into. Have to know someone.. the pay is great.

I could be mistaken, but I believe blackwater has emb-120s(brazilia) as well. If they pay anything like the pay the security personnel, you could retire in a short time if you saved your money. I gave thought to getting back into tactical shooting just so I could retire before I was 40. Security personnel are making over 15000 per month. I know, dangerous over there, but they have not lost an employee or cliet yet.

A lot of the best paying jobs are going away, and you better have a good SOF resume to get thoes.

Blackwater has lost employees. Remember the four in Fallugah?

In April they had lost 18 ( http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/...q.contractors/ )

Sorry for bringing up an old thread...But I have good gouge on this sort of thing and this thread was brought in a search..

PMC's with Aviation Assets are, some:

BW/ Presidential Airways
AirServ
SkyLink Aviation
The UN
DynCorp
KBR
ICI Oregon
Aegis

Triple Canopy is also bidding on DoS contracts now as well.

There are many PMC's that operate aviation assets. If you are not former combat arms vet or special ops aviation out within the past few years or LEO..chances are your only option will be a poor company with a terrible track record, high deaths, small contracts, poor equipment, bad logistics and less than stellar security.

If you want info on contractor deaths in Iraq and Astan...Visit here:

http://icasualties.org/oif/Contractors.aspx

It is not complete, but it is the closet thing you are going to find on contractor stats.

Keep in mind, numbers are numbers. Has BW lost guys more than some? You bet, but BW is operating a whole heck of a lot more in theater than anyone else.

Good luck and to my fellow brothers in harms way, stay safe.

Blackwater has had their contract revoked by the new Iraqi government...THANK GOD!

Your better bets are with ICI Oregon, and DynCorp like was mentioned before. There are more helo jobs over there than fixed wing from what I have seen. Pay is great, QOL sucks, and you will get shot at (trust me).

Pull pitch, stay low!

Well, it didn't take long for the Murtha types to check in. I'll wait and get all the fact's before passing judgement on my fellow Americans and fellow Veterans.

KBR, Aegis, DynCorps,..the Marines and the Army, etc..they all have their problems in Iraq, haven't they? Its just so easy to hate the biggest players and get on the MSNBC band wagon isn't it?

BW is there for everyone when the SHTF. Remember that. The same can't be said about everyone else.

Last I heard, ICI was not in Iraq.

There was some talk about Blackwater getting 767's about a year ago and turning them into Combi's. Don't know if it ever happened
