Nashville/BNA Domicile ?

Can anybody recommend any companies in the Nashville area (or at least a close commute). Type of operation isn't important. The other half may get a high pay job there, so I'd just like to keep myself flying. Any recommendations are welcome..

Thanks..

Flight Express, Mesa, both have domiciles in Nashville.

Not sure if this helps you but Middle Tennesee State University in Murfreesboro (about 30 min from nashville is almost certainly hiring flight instructors if you've got the certificate and are willing to do that again....

Have enough experience for NetJets? I hear they are home based now.

Mesa no longer has a domicile in BNA.

Pro-Air operates pt 135 out of BNA. I think they fly Cessna 310s.
Executive Air Express is based at MQY, just east of Nashville, they operate part 135 and part 91 flights in Merlins, C-303's, C-421s, and a King Air.
As mentioned previously, Flight Express is in Nashville, they mostly fly checks and operate part 135 in C-210's and Barons.
You can also look into Colemill, they do charter ops in King Airs and a Navajo from Cornelia Fort.

You can also try to get on with Corporate Flight Management or Regions, both of which are at MQY.

Hope this helps.

I agree with this post, they are always looking for people with airline experience who might be interested in a long term postion. The CP - Paul M. is a good buddy of mine and he's a great guy to work for.

Actually, MTSU is looking for someone to train CFI's. All of the oldest instructors will hit their 2 years this summer, but I doubt any of us will be around that long. The school is great and is growing, and we stay busy all year. Word is that the CFI training gig will pay better than regular instruction.

Regions is not currently operating, unless I'm mistaken. Corporate Flight Management is a stable company where you will be home most nights. I talked with the CP over there and was pretty impressed, but I'm not sure if it is the right place for me, since I have little desire to remain in this area for much longer.

I know I'm one of the slackers who said I'd help and then I got busy with other things... ;) You're correct about regions - out of business...

Thanks everyone.. Great info and I appreciate it. I like the idea of the King Air flying and being home. I have about 5,500 TT with 2,000 in King Airs so that may be a good gig. I also have a Masters from Embry Riddle, so teaching at MTSU might be an option. Good to know there is something around.
