If only 25K was enough to live on in Anchorage . . .

Not trying to bash ERA here, but I have been watching ERA for a long time and I don't understand why ERA refuses to pay what other companies in Alaska pay. I was offered a job flying an islander for $55000 first year pay in Alaska. I made $44000 first year pay flying a Cherokee Six with housing provided. When will ERA start matching pay? Can anyone live in ANC for $25000 a year? It appears even the captains make substantially less than other pilots in Alaska. Again, I am not bashing ERA just confused as to the company's thought process. If they start paying, I might be interested. Just my $.02

Yeah that certainly isn't enough to live off of.

You would defiently need to live on moose meat with that money.

Plus, transition to the Dash 8 is running approx 6 months now. Plus you are home every night, plenty of time of fishing and hiking.

clearandcold 05-17-2008 08:22 PM

It didn't use to be that fast, tells me that people are leaving the company.
