Jobs other than flying
I'm looking for your input about non-flying jobs. I've looked into FAA, some governement jobs, air traffic control, Boeing and few other prospects arond STL. I want to know where else pilots are getting jobs. I want to keep my search broad and sometimes we can all overlook a great possibility right at our door steps. Thanks in advance for your input.

I have posted about many different things here in Hiring and elsewhere. Do a search.
Personally, I try to steer people to jobs in the non-profit sector. Most of these, of course, are not aviation-related, but there are some. Try the different museums. I don't know much, if anything, about STL, but Seattle for example has places like the Museum of Flight and Paul Allen's Heritage Collection.
Boeing, as you know, is being struck by the machinists. However, I haven't heard that it has gone on a hiring freeze. They always seem to be advertising up here, so I'd look harder at it if I were you.
Another place to look is the union. And I don't mean just ALPA. There's a whole host of them - Teamsters, SEIU, IBEW.
