Tre, Tri
I continue to come across the terms TRE and TRI when looking at the expats job sites.
Could someone define these two terms. We don't use these terms at my airline. Which one is a line check airman?
Thanks,
Remlap

LTC is Line Training Captain and only gives line training.
SFI is Simulator Flight Instructor and is only in the sim.
SFE is Simulator Flight Examiner and is only in the sim.
TRI is a Type Rating Instructor and can be both a simulator and line instructor.
TRE is a Type Rating Examiner and is an examiner in both aircraft and sim.
These are the terms more commonly used in Europe. They are also ratings that are provided by the regulatory body of the country concerned.

Thanks Typhoon,
We are all seperated by a common language, the ATPL and the JAA.
It took me a while to figure out that roster stood for schedule and sector stood for leg. I am still trying to figure out how the brits refer to rotation.
