Air Ambulance flying is a fun job. You have to keep yourself in check. Most companies are run by non-aviation types, so they will push you to do things that may be unsafe. Every mission is different. Definitely not mundane airline flying.

That's my career goal. I'm working on getting the 500 hours of multi that must companies want.

I am a current air ambulance pilot in a c90.
Defiantly a fun rewarding job.
Where I am gereraly speaking you are going to need 2000tt and 500multi for the job.
Pay is not great, but livable.
Some of the hard stuff is the medcrew runs the show. At the base level that is fine we all cook for each other and have a great time. Company wise means pilots are tend to get smaller raise. And there is little understanding of FAA maintenance and pilot duty rules.
Personally I love it with that being said.
