Horizon isn't presently accepting resumes or hiring, but is in position to within the next few months.
Horizon will update their job page and job hotline just as soon as they're ready to open the door to more pilot hiring.

Horizon Air ?
Why would you want to go to work there? It is a career killer. It takes forever to upgrade. Everyone who I know who went there ended up stuck for their career. By my experience it takes 10 years to reach 1000 hours of 121 PIC with them. By the time you reach it you don't care anymore. The worst mistake I ever made was to work for them. Go to Skywest, Mesa or someplace back east.

That's a question I've always asked. I work on the ramp for Horizon in Seattle and a few pilots have told me that the upgrade time right now is about 6-7 years. What about Mesa or Skywest, they've been recommended alot to me aswell by Horizon pilots...Do you know what their upgrade times are?

From what ive heard skywest is an ideal, fun airline to work for. I've talked to an Aloha FO that flew for them and said 'theres nothin' better than doin day trips out of denver in an emb-120' i know he flew for them about three years or so and had been a capt. for about a year before gettin' on with Aloha. I've heard good and bad rumors/things about mesa.......anyone care to elaborate?
