EMBFlyer, would you mind giving us a synopsis of why you feel it didn't go your way? I'd understand if you don't, though.

I honestly have no idea. I had a very good feeling about things, but in the end it wasn't my day. I'd be willing to bet that part of it might have had to do with a type rating in another Boeing aircraft.

I have applied many times hoping for a chance to get on with Atlas. Are they really thinking that a 737 type rating is a reason not to look at someone. I have six types, including 737, I thought that was a good thing showing an ability to learn and fly a variety of different aircraft. I never thought a 737NG type would hold me back from furthering my career.

Had the phone interview Feb 4th, tech test Feb 7th now waiting to see where it goes from here, got the 66. There were a few questions that were posted on here but quite a few off the wall questions I havent seen on any of the forums. Having said books at my side really helped.

737 type? They thought you may want to jump ship to SWA later? I've heard many a people tell me something similar to this from other interviews. That stinks. Sorry man.

I don't see the connection...If you are qualified to apply at Atlas and have a 737 rating then you are qualified to apply at Southwest. How does a 747 type and international experience make you more desirable at a domestic 737 operator?

If I wanted to be at Southwest I would be knocking at their door...I am not, been busy updating my stuff with Atlas.
