Story time for those actually considering Atlas...
So I talked to a guy who's NOT on probation (past 1st year pay) who's accepted a tour with the military to work at Al Eudied Air Base in Qatar the next 4 months instead of working at Atlas. Why is this significant? OFF of probation where pay increases this individual would rather go live in a small Conex (slightly better than a tent) WITH a roommate than work for Atlas. He'd rather go to stay out in the middle of the desert where he's not allowed to drink, is confined to the base, and eats out of a chow hall for 4 straight months. No TV in his room and a shower in what's known as a "Cadillac" (communal showers and bathrooms in trailers). Make ZERO mistake about it - We're ****ed. If you come here you'll be expected to be part of the team and you know it's going to be BAD here for a very long time.

I think this is the most important thing for prospective hires/applicants to understand; yes it sounds interesting to fly a big piece of metal to obscure places even if you have been fair
warned that the pay and qol is off the charts low BUT, make no mistake and understand you will be walking in to a battle and you will be held accountable to fight, and shots will be fired from management. Its a really ugly situation and there really is no way to sit on the sidelines.

Jeez, it ain't quite that bad. My squadron's turn came up and I had to deploy with them as happens in the military. It wasn't a choice of USAF over Atlas for 4 months. As an aside, the Deid has booze and I have a TV and PS4.
That said, I am pretty stoked to step away from the negativity that is going at at 5Y and make more money than I would at Atlas. Better retirement, too! Hopefully, between now and the summer when I have to go back we will have lost hundreds more and mgmt will have realized the loaded gun they have been playing with has just discharged into their foot.

Please tell me you're trolling this thread and aren't serious?
If you are serious, go back and read ALL OF THIS THREAD! From the very first post until this one. Then go to APC and read the QuickTake on Atlas.

Hi guys, does anybody know what 767 domiciles are available? JFK/CVG Is it possible to be MIA based on the 76? No. What would be the best option for a Florida resident on the 76 Commute to JFK/CVG.

Yes, this is an Atlas thread, but the questions you ask could have all been answered by simply reading the QuickTake on APC. It's apparent from your previous posts that you have applied to and are interested in Atlas, which explains why you're asking questions.
My point is that you need to do the work and research before you come here and end up looking like a deer in the headlights when you don't understand what is going on with the contract, labor issues, or anything else concerning Atlas. You're in for a bumpy ride if you don't do the due diligence and educate yourself a little before asking the simplest of questions. 99% of ANYTHING you could ever want to know/ask/think of has been covers in the thread before you asked.
Active participants on this thread are more than willing to help you, but you have to put forth the effort yourself before asking the basic questions. This is for you and EVERYONE else that is interested in working at Atlas.

I read the quicktake on APC the domiciles are listed but it doesn't specify the type of aircraft for each. Since this is an Atlas Hiring thread I didn't think it would be so hard for someone to help out. I do my homework so please don't treat me like a teenager cause you don't even know me, make up an Atlas labor issues thread or something. I've left a few airlines because I wasn't happy with what was going on. Bottom line, there are plenty of opportunities out there. I believe that if you're unhappy all you gotta do is go somewhere else.
