Well thanks for that, read my post, I asked for current info. This page goes back roughly 7yrs.
I would like to know specifically how reserve works. Is reserve only 17 days out of the month like a normally line? How long do you have to report to duty?

Everyone is on RSV, in some fashion. We bid foot prints to work- and the CO builds a schedule based on that.
We do have "lines" but they always change, the footprint doesn't.
Unless- you are a pure RSV pilot, then you can be extended 3 additional days. That will
Cost the CO about 20 hours of pay.
We have 3 types of RSV. Home- you don't get paid, Hotel RSV. 1.5 hour to report, and HOT RSV 6 hours at the DHL soon to be amazon Sort.
At the end of the day- all the pilots typically bid a footprint. Sometimes it's one week on, one week off- or combo of days.
You can bid whatever you like- Asia, Europe, domestic, AMC, or South America flying.
But, it doesn't mean you will be flying that.
And it's very rare you will be called while on RSV- noramlly they pre load your schedule with flying about 7-10 days out.
If you are called on RSV, in my experience it's never been "hurry to airport" it's normally for a day or two later. But- everyone has their experience, just speaking of mine own.
Clear enough ??

Reserve hasn't changed in 7 years, pal. The warden won't negotiate with us lowlifes. Come on over. Get your inmate number.
My last two patterns were reserve lines of about 6 days each. I was not called out either pattern. I had a schedule ahead of time with flying built in, and operated 3 legs on each pattern: 4 domestic legs and one international turn. This is on the 747. I had 11 deadhead legs total on those two patterns, including 7 legs of Gateway and Alternate Travel.

Atlas pays $1600 per month while in training, x3 months is $4,800. Then you get your monthly guarantee of $80/hr x 62hrs which is $4,960 for 9 months that's $44, 640. First year is $49,600not including per diem which is probably another 7k.
However after speaking with several line pilots and a check airmen. I know you guys avg. 80hrs of pay per month. So 3 months of training $4,800 plus 9 months at $80hr x 80hrs is $57,600. So first year pay is $62,400 not including per diem and it would be $76,800(again not including per diem) if you didn't have 3 months at training pay.
Year 2 is easily over $100k and you guys still complain
I do not work there. I do not know the environment but stop whining because some other cargo company is paying more than yours. If you're truly that unhappy to be there, to the point of considering yourselves "inmates" why not just leave? Instead you guys come on APC to rant and cry.
No job is perfect, grow up a bit and go to work!
man, you guys amaze me.....
