Remember first year is only 50 hours guarantee so it only takes 11 days to break it. The PT only take one day plus a day of travel before and after. Say their PT is on day 14 of their line and the company figures it's easier to just send them home afterwards. They'd still make ~$4800 that month.

Please remember that you won't see that > $3400 a month until the 5th month. Until then it'll be $1600 a month before taxes and retirement. Budget for about $1200 take home a month for the first 4 months.
