Ooooops what? Ooooops that I have a thought process? Ooooops that I have a mind of my own? Oooooops that I don't follow the lemmings off of a cliff? I Don't care what you believe 8 no matter how many cute and colorful emojis you post. Conveniently copying and pasting, taking out of context a few paragraphs from my collective sum of posts that demonstrate otherwise will not prove your point. I'm not company and I'm not in the training center either. I'm middle of the road Joe and if you don't think that the union and the company are both dragging their feet then your beer(union) goggles must be too tight.

I support my union but I will question union tactics when I feel that it is contradictory to our collective goal. I also support the employer that pays my bills but I will not allow them to walk over me with complete disregard for the CBA. What is wrong with living my life to that standard?

At Atless they throw you a photo copied sheet of paper (who knows how old) that gives you a basic explanation of NAT crossing on day 2 or 3. When your flooded with 100 other papers for indoc, preparing for your oral, then CPT, then SIM. By the time your first crossing comes you’ve long forgot about that one piece of paper they gave you. ZERO is taught in class. They throw it ALL on the checkairmen.
And then as stated in another post, it’s no longer an Atlantic crossing, it’s just a crossing. There’s a big difference between the Atlantic and the pacific.
We have had pilots cross the Atlantic without talking to a soul. No voice, NO CPDLC, No HF. NO ONE.
Captains are afraid to go on breaks. Rightfully so with incidents such as these.
Hard landings, errors programming the box almost runnin*off runway, , almost hitting a mountain, the pilots, instructors and check airmen have warned over and over of an impending airframe loss.
Training has to change but Atless is too slow to react. Planes keep moving, and it’s all they know Or want to keep training costs down.

Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. Training is better. Safer place to work.

What's wrong with that "standard"?

Frankly, it's incorrect. That's what's wrong.

You seem to think you occupy some sort of "moral high ground" by not picking a side? Well, one thing is for sure, you're the victim of a sham and a screw job, but it's not coming from the union.

All, and I do mean all, of your frustration should be directed squarely at Purchase for gaming your profession. To the company you are merely a debit on left side of the financial statement. They are not your daddy paying your bills. You bring value to the company, much more than you're being given credit for, every month.

There is no right or wrong in living life. There are only consequences of ones actions. I am not frustrated being at Atlas nor am I on any "moral high ground" either. I am completely secure in choosing NOT to be brow beaten by rogue union members or be abused by the company. Both can be accomplished at the same time. Just because I don't bang on the union drum blindly does not mean that I do not support our cause. You want to pick apart or manipulate my words to force me into some sort of corner to demonstrate that you are a union supporter but you are choosing to bully a union dues paying member in good standing! What would the union say to you if we were face to face and you choose to bully me like you are doing and I chose to say I prefer go home after a pattern instead of volunteering? I am sure the exco would tell you that it is my choice and the union, if it ever came down to it must represent me if I needed it because I PAY MY DUES.

I'm "bullying" you?

Wow.

Let's see. I described you as a victim of a screw job by the company while saying you bring VALUE to that same organization. I think I'm looking out for your best interests.

But I'm an ugly union thug?

Ok.

I'm glad you enjoy Atlas. I shudder to think how you would survive at a place like UPS with the IPA breathing down your neck.

I am not a victim and I certainly dont need to be treated like one. I also dont need you or anybody else telling me what is right or wrong or judging me for my choices. I have done allright so far with neither the union nor the company calling me out on my choices so far so I have no idea why you may "shudder" at the thought of me interacting with the IPA. Are they bigger bullies than you? Your words are the epitome of those uttered by a bully and frankly that is what readers on this forum are sick of reading about. Just because we dont fall in rank and file with your fist pumping propaganda, we become villains and are shunned by our so called peers. There are plenty of union supporters out there like me that just dont agree with the method but that does not mean we dont agree with the message. We just have different views on the approach to a common goal.

Default Atlas Benefits

Changing the subject slightly. Can anyone speak to Atlas's health benefits or lack thereof? Specifically do they cover domestic partners of the opposite sex or do you have to be married.

Be careful coming to this forum asking for things about Atlas because they will tell you how terrible all of LIFE is and how it is Atlas' fault!

The medical program is pretty standard. Open access plus in network, OAP, out of out of area, HSA, HMO,. I worked for a fortune 500 company prior to going to the regionals and then to Atlas and the medical plans are pretty comparable. However, domestic partners of the opposite sex are not covered. Same sex partners are covered (documentation required, because it says, "lawful spouse") if I understand my EPO plan properly.
