We don't know, only a rumor. However, if they mimic what they did last year, late July or early August. What we don't know is what they have filled with applicants already and in what context the remark was made.

Not entirely true, vacancy award in March had a June upgrade class. Which, as I understand it is still a go. However, what is true is that counting that class, it will be 1 x 747 upgrade class in about 10 months and ALL those who are upgrading are senior to the current junior CA, which includes 3 cross overs from the 767 if i recall correctly.

Management has told us that ALL 2018 hiring stops in August so that we have all hands on deck for the 4rth quarter. Right now our crew ratios are slightly behind management's stated targets for the 767 and 747, so once you factor in 7 months of attrition and retirements expect to be Junior manned and extended if you're on the tail end of this year. Hiring would start back up just in time for.... Peak hiring season at other airlines.
Our CBA doesn’t have junior manning.

There are 747 NH classes on May 28 and June 18, both slated for 28 NH's each. 767 classes every three weeks throughout the summer.
No one in MIA TC has attended A-330 school. Check the FAA airman data base if you think otherwise.
It might be along time before 74 FO's upgrade on the 74 unless there is a new CBA. There are 81 767 CA's that are out of their seat locks and 30 more getting unlocked between now and the end of this year alone.
