It is entirely possible to enjoy flying at Atlas and hate the way that you are treated. Those are two distinctly different things. Optimistic pilots come to work, are pleasant to fly with and do an outstandingly professional job operating the jet with their crew. Those same pilots, however, are compelled to fight for their contractual rights on a daily basis and for a better, safer contract as soon as possible.
Consequently, we post messages here in order to help aspiring pilots learn what the truth is about flying at Atlas. Obviously, this is a subjective assessment, but when you sift though all of the posts and all the rhetoric on APC, it doesn't take long to realize that Atlas management lies to potential new hires about the opportunities and benefits at Atlas while they ignore the hard facts that Atlas pays less than many regional jobs while treating you as nothing more than an asset to be worked 'till you drop while compensating you with as little as possible.

The fact of the matter is after 3 months training, commuting to ANC, and being gone 19 days a month for about 6 months you will have buyer’s remorse. But what do we know. Most of us only have only been at an average of 4 different Part 121 carriers to compare to. Our opinions are uneducated. Obviously.
We’ve seen many guys come here and then resign to go on to a regional. Let that sink in...But by all means, PLEASE come on over. We don’t give a **** anymore.

Or better yet, do a couple of domestic jump seat rides to get a first hand look at your new career (just use caution with the catering).

Where can one find the latest online test gouge? Has anything changed with the online test in the last 5 years? Asking for a friend of a friend. I feel like a reluctant parent... it pains me to bring someone else into this world.

Still looking for information on the Atlas Air open house. I did my homework and understand the situation there. I want to move back home to ANC to take care of my Dad who is sick. The pay is fine for me and the imputed income shouldn't matter if I'm living at a base. Can someone help me?
