I think you're miscalculating the problem here. We may be a few pilots fat currently on the 767 fleet, but at this current rate I think we will be short by mid-year, which is when we are when we are slated to begin adding 1.2 Amazon 76s per month to the operation. That's about 24 ADDITIONAL pilots needed per month for 18 straight months.

There is such a disconnect between upper and middle management right now. The middle managers know there's a crisis, and that staffing the Amazon flights will not happen without growth in pilot numbers OR cutting ties with some of our other partners. The latter is my guess. Either way, for upper management to stubbornly deny the issue and lie to investors that we don't and won't have a staffing issue is blatant unethical behavior. Shocker right?


Not fulfilling promises to other customers, and ultimately losing revenue, just to fulfill the promises made to Amazon- all for the sake of Union busting- is why this management team will lead us to failure.

That'd make sense if we're getting 1.2 airplanes per month. I'm calculating 1 per month. 20% more airplanes would mean an additional 52 pilots they need this year or 5.2 extra a month to be retained. I was calculating 269 they needed as of yesterday so that'd be 321 if you're right. We lost several more yesterday - 1 of them a good friend... I think attrition will be more than February this month.

Where are they going? UPS? Atlas is like a farm system for them.

The long term piece that may get the attention of top management is when there is an investor lawsuit for false information in filings to the SEC and other public statements which can be shown to be fraudulent or misleading, all of which has been widely discussed within the public domain - including here -and can be verified within the company documents / records upon discovery.

Of course, at that point, there likely has been substantial failure in the company's ability to deliver to it's customers, and thus it has taken hits on earnings. This is not that far away if the information that is being reported here is accurate, and if there is no movement by the company in the near future to prepare for success, rather than to prepare for failure.

The only one where I know where he's going is headed to FedEx. An FO Junior to me went to UPS. There are 5 people who I personally know and 1 other person on Giant Comms "All Out" who left this week. Those are just the ones I know. I bet we lost more than 10 this week. 1 Captain who left was younger than me too...

That'll happen this fall. At the current rate they're losing pilots they currently need 321 pilots or 32.1 a month. Next month it'd be 330 pilots or 36.6667 a month. May 1st? 42.375 and 339 pilots by year's end. June 1st? 49.714 a month added to the list. July 1st.... 59.5. It snowballs quickly on them with attrition at this rate and only they know where the point of no return is. I think we'll set a record for attrition in March. My guess is that they plan to shrink the 747 to service DHL and Amazon. That's just a guess though...

Yet, with two new contracts for 747 flying, that doesn't seem to be the case now! I grow more confused by managements actions with each announcement!
