Just shy of regional mins, ideas?
So for those of us just shy of regional airline mins, what are our options, like I have 850 total, 22 multi, 15 turbine, am I missing something? Are there SIC gigs out there that pay bills? I am hitting a rock wall once again, I assume the answer is just keep flying that 182, and getting Kingair time.

Tell you what, keep flying till you meet the minimums. Times are changing and the 1500 hour rule might be part of the changing times. Plug away at that 182 and before you know it, you'll be there. One more thing, be careful how you log that kingair time cause at the interview, all previous aircraft flown are game when it comes to systems questions. Don't be surprised when you are asked to expalin the electrical system. Ask yourself one question...."am I a required crew member on this flight?"

Ill trade you my 172 CFI gig for your King Air gig. Lots of potential dual time. I need the KA time more than I need this job with my hours at this point!

I would think having to know the systems on an aircraft one has flown is basic common sense...

Correct me if I am wrong, but 850TT/25ME isn't really just shy when even those regionals hiring want 1000-2000 TT (which, true, you are sort of shy) but 200-500 hours of multi?
I would say stick with the king air job because you are getting multi time (good multi time too, fun!) and it beats renting a 1960s seminole. You are getting close on total time, but nowhere near where the multi time needs to be.
As others have said, maybe you can get a 135 freight operation. That will get you the multi time and the cross country time needed for the new ATP requirement.
Quick side (hope to not hijack), if it is say a king air 90 (below 12,500) on a part 91 flight and you are the sole manipulator of the controls, can't you log it as PIC multi turbine time?
