Just wondering what some of your insights are. Especially those who fly for colgan or eagle.

where do you live? make it easy on yourself and choose a company where there is a good chance of being based near your home or in your hometown!

How does your senority go up with a new hire?

Your seniority number won't increase, but your relative seniority will (%) with each person hired on behind you right?

Yes. You advance through attrition or growth. Attrition is the guys ahead of you, growth is the guys behind you.

Growth is when newhires outnumber those who are retiring(or leaving for whatever reason). If 30 pilots retire and 20 pilots get hired that is a net reduction in your seniority.

Exactly my point about RELATIVE seniority.
Of course the original point was in response to a comment made about 1 new hire being added on and 'relative seniority' growing.

Of course the original comment made have been made in jest :o

Go with the one that offer's you a job. Apply to all, interview with all, then pick from the airlines that offered you a job.

I wouldnt change a thing. I am at Eagle. I make $46k now on 3rd year pay and own a house. I am not Pro Eagle, I have great concerns for the future. My roommate was at Colgan on the Saab and quit to make a lateral move to Eagle and says he is so much happier. He wouldnt change a thing either.
