It did. Thanks!

Any update on Allegiant growth plans? Time to upgrade? Retirements, etc...
|
anybody work for Allegiant now? whats it like? pros/cons?
|
little to no growth this year; however it is confirmed we're hiring 18 for an April 11 class. I'd say subject to change though; keep an eye on oil prices. As ususal, inside rec. needed for an interview. Upgrades will be almost totally dependent on growth; very few age 65 retirements in the pipeline. Current upgrade time 3.5 years or so but probably at least 5-7 years for new-hires. Great job if you live in base; not so good if you commute as everything is built around out-and-back day trips and not always in blocks of days that you would like to see if you commute. Typically half a class gets LAS and half gets FL; maybe one or two odd assignments to one of the smaller bases. It seems like right now IWA is the most senior base for F/O's.
Good luck to everyone! |
Inside rec an absolute must?? How can I get one ha?!?!? Do they have any affiliates? If so would an internal from one of them suffice?? I've got an internal for almost every other Major but I dont' know anybody from allegiant. Advice?

Ps just realized you are military - sorry my suggestion won't work will it? |
no jump seating for me : (

How's strict are they on the ATP requirement? I meet every other qual and would be willing to go get it after I knew I was hired. Will they interview and offer the job contingent on you getting one before class?
|
i got a call from them today for interview. i just wonder what to expect
you can pm thanks |
Will not likely get an interview without ATP and will not get Hired without it. We have a lot of resumes of people wanting to work here. They received over 500 internal Req. when the last class was hired. To really have a chance you will need the ATP.
|
Internal rec not required people have been called without one. Its just a lot harder to get noticed in the pack.

The memory/immediate action items, but not an entire checklist.
After I wrote it I thought I should add - know where to find it and be familiar with it, but I was lazy; and here I am writing more about it! In any case - it is really more of a comment about a negative post towards a non-union airline about a company that seems to have a pretty good safety record. USMCFLYR |

Since I just went through my first civilian training program - I was surprised that there was not an immedaite action / memory item test required to be filled out verbatim or that more items were not asked in the oral (I think I got ONE). Even when I went through my Differences training there was not a memory item test, nor are we tested every week/month/or even quarter on all or part of the items. Not complaining ;), just a note at the difference. USMCFLYR |
Sorry about the thread drift people - back to hiring news.

USMCFLYR That qualifies as luck, not a good safety record. |

How many engine fires has your airline had in the last 3 years? How many runway excursions? How many tire tracks in the mud from trying to depart a runway that was too short?
That qualifies as luck, not a good safety record. The NTSB database only shows one accident (failed NLG) and one incident (runway incidient with ATC faulted, not the airline) since 2002. It would seem that with all of these accidents / incidents that you mention that there would be more. For the general reading public- This is where I gathered the information and from an additional link on their website: Aviation Accident Database Query Is there a better place to search for information? I see some web articles, personal blogs, etc...about failed engines and FAA safety awards and such. Are problems in flight (like a failed engine) that don't end up in a smoking hole (thank goodness far and few between) not reported anywhere - even if an emergency was decalred; which I am of course assuming that emergencies were reported with this type of failure. Fish - I understand that you seem to have some axe to grind with a non-union carrier, but is their safety record (and I'm talking accidents/incidents per flight hour ratio here) at the bottom of all Major/LCC/Cargo carriers or does this non-union carrier just hold a special dark place in your heart? bqn, how much time to you have? I'm a military guy with just under 3000 hours heavy jet and an ATP but no internal rec. Just wondering what my chances might be of getting a call are. Thanks.
good luck |
