SWA telephone assessments?
 

Does SWA do telephone assessments before an invite to Dallas is given?

Never heard of that before, but maybe it's something new they are doing.

I pretty sure they don't - they haven't in the past. My friend got an invite for an interview later this month, he never mentioned a telephone assessment.

Got a call from flt ops (Meagan) said she had a couple questions bout my app? It's been phone tag ever since. Dunno...?

Just curious, what are your quals?

I have a friend who had the same thing. He called her back and she asked him some questions that seemed kind of like interview questions, not just checking on his application information.

Has he heard anything? I had the same (unfortunately I was thinking it was just going to be asking my availability and making sure my info was correct, not an interview) and was told I'd definitely hear something in a couple of weeks but so far nothing. I'm thinking I'm not getting the invite anyway, but haven't heard yeah or nea to this point.

Yeah, but I think this is now worse...I have no idea if I'm still in the running or not. Kinda is it better to have been loved kinda deal. Surprised you didn't hear anything!

It's even more dissappointing when you get the interview but don't get the job. Good luck!

It's hard to go through the excitement of preparing for an interview, doing your best, only to be let down. You have to prepare for the worst and hope for the best I guess.

Yeah, or when you interview and don't pass. Then you get called for another interview and maybe do or don't pass the phone interview to get to the interview to pass or fail again:eek: Man my head hurts...

Yep, I got the same call last week. Thought it was about crossing some T's and dotting some I's on my application....ended up being an "interview". Haven't received a call for a real interview yet....

Same here. I talked with a couple of folks and they said as much. Must be a "they're just checking to make sure your times are right and then ask for your availability"...not so much. Glad to hear I'm not the only one in the boat. I was told I would hear something for sure in the next two weeks or so. Guess I'm standing by to stand byand I'll post as soon as I hear something. Please do the same:D

Sorry to mislead you. No, I've not heard anything at all from them. No initial call or email. Nothing but crickets.

Heard they called a 100, and sent emails to over 150. Interviews have already started and WILL continue. They are picking solely on a point system, so if you have the 4 year, type, check airmen, etc, you have a great shot. A lot inside are not liking the new process of picking who gets the interview, but apparently its a legality issue (whole other story). But hang tight if you not got the email, sounds like it may get crazy soon. Good luck. Again, these are the rumors i have heard, so grain of salt

I hope you're right. I talked with an FO yesterday while I was jumpseating from HOU to DAL and he said that all the interview slots for this round were full. Whether that's true or not, I'll never know. I'm still holding out hope.
