Low time Pilot
Does anyone know of a place for a low time pilot up along the east coast.
currently a CFI/II/MEI. I heard that there is a lot of jobs on the east as well as Southeast. Also does any place hire in a single with an upgrade to a multi. I'm trying to build experience flying mail or whatever. Please help. |
Low Time Pilot
The AOPA website list alot of CFI jobs.

Lots of florida cfi openings, check with skyjobs.net
I picked up great time flying the Grand Canyon, and the single/multi transition was pretty quick. Great for confidence in flying single pilot stuff. |
Try new england airlines. They are seasonal, but always an option.

Low Time Job
Ramp 66 in Myrtle Beach, SC, might be a starting point for flight instruction with the opportunity to move up to 135 stuff. Golfing is great too!

have you loked at www.climbto350.com
they always seem to have jobs for lower time drivers (1000+ total 200+ multi). Airlines that have positions starting in singles are Air Net and I think maybe Ameriflight. Cape Air does alot of flying down the east coast and caribbean, as well as Guam. But if you have that kind of time I'd personally only fly a single engine bag plane as a last resort, or I was into that kind of thing for the love of it. Get yourself into the right seat of a turbine mate. I hung around bush flying for far too long myself, had a great career indeed, but I could have been a skipper on a jet with a decent operator by now if I had made the correct moves and not been so lazy. That's just me though. Good luck with it anyway, work at it and you'll get what you want no worries. |
If you have pt135 mins, Flight Express in TPA pretty much have open interviews. Just show up and they will interview you. They even advertised once that the first 15 pilots that had the time and showed up at the training center were hired. They start you in the 210 and then you can upgrade to the baron.

Check out Air Cargo Carriers, Inc. Their Mins are 500TT and 50 ME. They fly Shorts 330's and 360's. Good starting point. It's kind of hard to get a Single Engine job with low time, unless it is towing banners, and jumpes (which are seasonal)...anywho...check out ACC.

If you happen to have a fair amount of multi and turbine time, you might be able to get on with Air Wisconsin. A couple friends of mine with such experience got hired at around 5-600 total time.
