Jack,

Good luck to you with the interview. Do you have any
knowledge of what the maximum age (unwritten, of course)
is that FedEx will consider?

Thanks,

http://emeraldcoastinterviewconsulting.com/ Is the place to use. His name is Aaaron, he's a FedEx pilit, and I believe he's has a pretty good success ratio. I have no idea about FedEx, but I know he's got a money back guarantee for JetBlue interviews. Also, I believe he'll customize according to what you can afford. I don't know if he does the sim specifically, but he does all other aspects and I know he'll definitely put you on the right track to find quality sim prep.

Respectfully,

Default thanks

Ill try the interview folks. I need all the help I can get. I have good gouge but always looking for more. Im not quite sure about the age deal. If anything with the number of military pilots they hire, I would imagine that the average is in the mid to late 30s. I myself am 30 years old. I hope that does not count against me.

you should have no issues with age...USAF co-worker of mine retired last year and was hired by then no problems- he was in his early 40s...

Jack and LAfrequentflyer:

Thanks for the input on the age thing. It's good to hear
about the 40 something getting hired. I've got a few years
on him, but just spoke to Aaron from Emerald and he seems
to think even an old fart like me has a chance.

Thanks again for the input.

I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but i know one thing...most employersuse the total person concept when they recruit / hire folks...if you have some years under your belt then you should have leadership experience (military or civilian) in your background so they know you can make decisions under pressure / cope with set-backs / deal with people / mentor / train others...

...i don't worry about the age at all...for me the regionals will be the final career move and that doesn't bother me at all. i've flown on regionals many times and (into and out of lafayette, louisiana / biloxi, mississippi / montgomery , alabama, etc...) know professionals are at the controls....i know with hard-work and the grace of god i'll find myself in their ranks on day...

Default Fedex interview went well!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got hired on Friday. I start mid September. I cant quite describe this feeling, its somewhere in between and awesome and unbelievable.

The sim prep with AJ was all worth it! Big thanks to him. Other than that I would recommend that you go into the interview just being yourself and too relax.

Apparently, they need people really bad. They let me know within 24 hours of the interview.

Ill be happy to explain my experience further if anyone is curious.

I'm curious. Still a few years for me, but hopefully one day. What was your TT and TPIC? Did you come from 121 I assume, how many 135 guys do they hire (if any)?
