They will likely be hiring for an indefinite period. The exodus at RAH is rampant. From what I hear they are losing 30 to 40 a month. That is unsustainable without hiring replacements.

I went from 3 from the bottom in MKE to having 28 below me in a matter of 3 months. (Granted MKE went from 32 to 46 pilots in that span as well.)

What are the odds of getting CMH over there?

On CHQ? Slim out of class. Might be able to get over there on the next upgrade. More than likely you'll be in MKE, maybe GRR or ORD. Don't come to RAH for the bases. Our basing structure is fluid and with the new duty rules places like CMH, SDF, IND, GRR, ect will struggle to survive.

CMH is more likely than ATL....but there's a lot of movement right now. When I started class they said expect LGA but I got to transfer to ORD before I was even done. So it's all chance at this point. This is also on the S5 side.

I just got the call from John. Looks like I'm joining the RAH club. Any (constructive) tips, tricks or advice is welcome. Next (shuttle) class in August. I wish it was sooner, I'm so broke!

Well, you're not going to get rich at S5....

Tips:
Have fun, drink and chase the new hire FA's while you're in IND.

Study your ass off in STL, systems aren't hard, but it helps significantly when you go into the oral not sounding like a bumbldy-fellow...

SIM's
Know the flows and callouts down cold. That will make the biggest difference.

The ability to fly the plane isn't paramount.
Programming the FMS is.

All in all, it's not hard. Just know when and how to study, and have a good time.
