Just saw this AD, interesting where airlines like GULF Air are lowering Min time req to 800 hrs TT with 400 Hrs on type.

I don't have these hours on type, may be some one can benefit........

We are now in the process of recruiting Direct Entry Rated First Officers for Embraer E170/E190 to join our expanding fleet.
To be considered for this position you must:
  • Have frozen ATPL (JAA equivalent);
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English;
  • Have a current medical;
  • Have a total of 800 flying hours;
  • Have 400 on type flying hours;
  • Have 400 flying hours on Jet multi-crew aircraft; and
  • Be less than 51 years of age on the day of application.

Most pilots on this forum, have FAA ATP ratings no JAA!!! If Gulf Air needs pilots they should think about changing or look else where!!!

I think if the airline is down to 800 TT with 400 hrs on type & hiring Expats, they need pilots BAD, so will not care if U have FAA or Canadian or JAA.

If one has time on type, doesn't hurt to apply, max they can say is NO....

Question is, are there enough people who have experience on this airplane and which airline operates Emb 170/190 in USA
