135 schedule is absolute crap, but it pays better than a 121 regional (generally).

.
I've yet to see anyone go from a BE99 to a 737. As for pay, I make a lot more than my buddy at AMF right now. He's been flying the chief for 2yrs now and I'm almost to my 2nd yr 121 and I take home 1,000 more a month then he does with 15 days a month.

I know a few people who went from flying Shorts to 767's! So anything is possible.

Yeah, I can see that. the Shorts is a bigger plane both in feet and gross weight compared to a BE99 which is right along the lines of a Navajo.

That is why I said if he is doing alright financially, and if he could afford the horrible pay that Ameriflight provides in order to build TPIC quickly, then it is the fastest way. Also, the BE99 is not the end all of AMF... single pilot B1900 and Metro time will allow you to go to a major, and it is not that long of an upgrade into either of those if you are willing to move.

Anyway, I didn't come here to debate... just to offer a quick solution that provides horrible pay. Trust me, I worked at both AMF and XJT... I know the pay situation at both. I accepted my recall to XJT for the pay increase =)

I just realized you were talking about AMF pay being a 135 company... I had switched gears there and was meaning that 135 charter generally pays better than regionals. Sorry for the confusion, it was my inability to write clearly.

Majors = 121.

121 experience is always preferred.
