I believe the last Chief Pilot update said interviewing to begin again 2nd half of August. Right now there is a pool of 20. 12 new A320's coming online between September and June 2012.
Good luck. It's a good place to work. Pay is a bit low, still some growing pains, but all in all the schedules are great and so are the people. Pay will come up, it will have to when the hiring boom (!?!) starts up in 2012.

Just talked to member of training staff last night. 100 new hires by the end of this year. First class out of the pool will be Aug 16th. It will be small, 4 people but there will be several classes a month after that until the end of the year. Next years budget for hiring is unknown at this time by anyone. However, with 12 aircraft to show up by June; More will have to be added by my guess.

I had slightly less than 1000TPIC(800) and 5700TT, so if I can get hired, anybody can. YOU NEED TO BE YOURSELF DURING THE INTERVIEW. I watched 3 guys hang themselves during HR questions because they were trying to be cute and something they were not. DONT RAMBLE ON AND ON ;-) Good luck to all who are applying, hope to see you in LAX if you get on.

Don't get too down in the dumps about not meeting the current published minimums. First of all there have been people who have been hired with a bit less. Second, I would expect to see the published mins begin to drop in the not too distant future. Get the application in, update it regularly, and keep doing what you can to move forward. Personality is often more important than hours.

I received the email the other day with the pilot questionnaire. I filled that out and emailed it back. Where does that put me as far as chances of getting an interview. Obviously they have to have liked my responses to their questions, so let's go on the assumption that they liked what I wrote.
