The only thing I can say is, I'm glad I got hired 15+ years ago, because I don't think I would stand a chance with all those requirements! The 2.5 GPA is enough to kill me! WOW.

Wow! I interviewed there 12 years ago I think, when all I had was around 2800TT and no 121 PIC. Now I fly the whale with plenty of DC10 time and cant even get noticed. Oh well.

Why did this get moved? Nobody goes to the "Hiring News" section. Please move it back to the "Cargo" section...

There are about 1,000 Kalitta, Southern Air, Air Cargo Carriers, & Joe Blow Cargo hiring threads that are in the "Cargo" section...are you going to move those too?

I am not sure why the need to re-invent the wheel. So, you test poorly and do not get to come back and do the face to face? You can not figure a way out for guys to come in and do it all at once, they have to come back in on their own dime? Just because you act like an elitist, it does not mean you are elite! That only works at country clubs and night clubs....Isn't what we really want to know is can the candidate pass training? LOOK AT PAST TRAINING RECORDS! Is the candidate an a-hole or crazy? TALK WITH PEOPLE THEY HAVE WORKED WITH, FIND OUT IF THEY ARE TURNING THE CHECKLIST WHEN YOU ARE ALLOWED TO TALK, PUTTING SOCK PUPPETS ON THEIR HAND OR TRYING TO CONVERT YOU TO THEIR RELIGION!
Hey I think I just solved the hiring dilemma....can I have my Phd. now? I'll work for half what the good Dr. does.....I could be wrong....just my $.02

After re-reading the part about school records and GPA I must laugh.. I was too busy smoking weed and banging freshmen in high school to care about my 2.5 GPA, but ive made it through every training event with flying colors, havent flipped an MD11 yet, and have a college degree to prove I wasted money on a useless piece of paper. Yet FedEx has a "doctor" dictating hiring requirements?

By the way, heard the team leader (or other high up) of the Blue Angels was rejected, causing an almost riot amongst the ranks.

If a company's selection process looks weird, like it won't produce the "right" kind of employee, there are at least two possibilities:

a) It really is a stupid process.
or
b) Their definition of "right" differs from yours.

A very INCOMPLETE report as he forgot to mention the incredible array of donuts that were available to all attendees!
