Got the call from Colgan

I just got the call from Mesaba/Colgan. Class starts Nov. 10th, any study material or advice?

Which airframe did you get?

Ignore flyprdu, Colgan isn't the Colgan of yesterday. It is still far from perfect, but it has changed for the better, and continues to do so. Study the material they give you, know the limitations inside and out, study hard during the week and give yourself time to enjoy training and relax once in a while. Welcome aboard.

They said Saab or Q. Wouldn't say either way.

Well, congrats. Either way, you will enjoy it. They probably can't tell you until the final vacancy award is out. (Its supposed to be posted in 17 minutes.)

Congrats! Maybe I'll see you in the sim.

Book-wise, there's not much to study until you get your manuals. If you're not already familiar with Jepp charts, then it would be helpful to get familiar with them now.

You will likely hear a lot of negative things about Colgan, if any of it concerns you, PM me, I've been here for several years, and recommend it (mostly) without reservation.

From what I've heard they are trying to make the Saab the "intro" bird.

Good luck! Welcome to Pinnacolaba ;)

Welcome. I should be finishing up initial training this next week. If you need any advice for new hire training just let me know.
