That's great if you have a JAA and the right to work in Europe....

Aaah, nice to be in the center of the universe...good 'ole USA, right?

Sorry, but this is the "hiring news" link on APC...and Vueling does qualify if they are hiring...

I've got a JAA license, and speak fluent Spanish, and have the right to work in Europe, and live in Barcelona :)

This was my target airline for awhile, but an instructor from the school where I work got hired there last year and here is what I know...

Gotta speak fluent Spanish and English
Have to pay for the A320 type (Vueling will pay for the base check) so expect €20,000 upfront out of pocket
First year pay comes out to approx €1800/month after flight pay for a new hire without experience
They hire for the summer season, so your job isn't guaranteed for the following year !! You really have to get on someone's good side to stay on past the initial contract, it almost makes Ryanair look good

Last year, they were hiring guys with as low as 170 hours total time (CPL+MEIR). After Spanair went bust, they were hiring type rated guys with 3000 hrs of total time.

Sounds like crap to me!

One guy there explained it like this... "imagine you have a bus and people keep entering the bus, but it never gets full because the backdoor is always open"

Lowest paying A320 job in Europe.
