Atlas had about 40-50 in the pool in December. They had a Dec 17th class and now the upcoming Jan 7th class so that drained the pool a little so I would estimate perhaps 30 in the pool now?

They will have interviews 15-17 from what I heard, that will refill the pool. it is suspected that there will be another class before the pool is filled with these interviewees. Hard numbers are not available at this time however.

United got 20,000 for the last FA hiring window, which was reported on the news. Don't know about how many pilots applied.

I heard rumors that FedEX got something crazy like 14,000 apps last year when the window was open for a month and that SWA got around 5,000 with a 5-day window...I'm not employed by either and these are just rumors!

Yes, but we have interviewed about 350-400 of those pilots and now we are opening up our window late January -early Feb. once again the amount of competitive apps on file is far less then the 10000+. And I guarantee that all of them have apps at at least a couple of the other hiring airlines like UsAir, UAL, and Spirit.

If an applicant does not meet Spirit hours minimums can they still put an application into the website? Also, does FDX block you if you don't have 1,000 TPIC?

I have seen Spirit mins at 3,000TT, then 4,000tt. Someone at a job fair on a face-to-face was told 5,000tt was competitive and don't talk to us until you have 5,000tt. Any comments?

Thanks guys/gals.

I think FedEx has around 6,000 apps. This was from the chief pilot a few months ago. I can't remember the exact number he said, but I know it was definitely under 10,000. You have to check boxes stating that you meet all the mins before you are allowed to fill out the app. So unless some people are lying all applicants have at least 1,000 TPIC.

I think when SWA opened their window a couple years ago they had around 8,000 apps.

Yes they do. Really no sense trying unless you have the min, what will you tell them? "To show my interest I applied before I met mins even though the application specifically said not to."
