# of Applications received per Airline

I heard Atlas got 5,000+, US Air got 3,000, Alaska got 2,000.

UAL is collecting apps, any numbers?

How abount Hawaiin? Fedex? etc etc

I would like to take the data an make a supply/demand curve out of it.

Also, how deep are the hiring pools?

I'm shocked UsAir only got 3,000. That's dismal. I heard CAL/UAL have like 20,000, lol. not sure how true

Why are you shocked? Look at their payscale.

Considering the merge with AA is all but officially announced, it's not the worst place to eat **** for a few years until a JCBA is done

I heard Alaska has over 11,000 apps on file.

Don't forget there are very good odds that many of those apps at each airline are the same person. Prob less people than you think in the overall pilot applicant population.

This^^ Plus a lot of people apply that have no chance of being hired. I too think there are a lot less (valid) apps in at airlines than people think.

And no Im not saying pilot shortage!!

Shows you how little I know, I just thought one person/one application.

I think he means one pilot may apply to 6 different airlines.

I spoke to someone who runs the AeroCrew job fairs, said about 4,000 apps at Spirit

That makes sense, I know I've got apps out at two other places, now that US Air gave me a "no thanks, and we mean no thanks" email.

4000 at Spirit? Holy cow!

Too bad I couldn't make a deal with other guys, "look, I'll pull my apps at every other place, if you pull yours from Spirit, deal?" LOL!!
