Is Climbto350 legit?

There sure are a lot of jobs posted on climbto350, and I've never even met anyone that has gotten a job or even a callback from the site.

It seems a lot of job sites and dating sites are filled with bogus information. I don't know how anyone could confirm it here, but I do have my suspicions.

The other job boards I take part in have netted me at least calls or emails on a semi-regular basis.

Thoughts?

I got hired off of climbto350 several years ago.

I've also received several "thanks, but the position is already filled" emails after applying for jobs off of their.

Just my 2¢...

I've been contacted 3 times from climbto350, found out more about the positions and have decided not to pursue them.

You have to understand that with each posting hiring managers probably get 100-120 resumes. So unless you stand out above the rest or exceed qualifications you may never hear anything.

Your mileage may vary...
If nothing else, it indicates "trend" information. Some of the job postings can also so be found on indeed.com or jsfirm.com, no secret inside track. If you see it on climbtofl350, more than likely, it's posted somewhere else on the net.
The last 3 jobs that I've had were because a friend said "hey, I think XYZ is looking...."
Network, network, network! A friend that you have worked with is more reliable than an Internet search engine...

I have gotten two jobs of off 350 and calls for a few more.
So, yes, it is legit.
That being said, I have seen a couple of ads up there that I questioned about being real.

No! What you have to understand, is that Climbto350 offers free access if you post jobs. While there are good leads posted occasionally; what often happens, is that your fellow pilots won't list the job until they have been turned down for it. That is often, when the job has already been filled.

I've been contacted numerous time by pilots I know, regarding carriers I've been at. I have to laugh; because, my company had either furloughed me, had stopped hiring, or hadn't hired in the previous year! Beware Climbto350!

I have gotten two jobs off of "big orange". However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't network!

Old listings aside, all they do is vacuum up job listings from other sites, and re-sell them. There are plenty of other sites that are much more pilot friendly, that is being free of course.

I've gotten 2 jobs off there. I've also posted a few jobs too, so yes it's legit.

Some are legit and some are not. Many of the employers I have contacted on there told me that the posted job never existed. So either the job posting is really, really old or completely fake! I know they re-post many jobs over and over again to appear as if they have several new job postings every day which they don't.

Personally I have had a much better experience with willflyforfood.com when I was on furlough.

You will find several so called "free" job boards that essentially copy job posting from other the legitimate job boards. Free is a temporary term as they wait until they get your contact information and then they start charging you. Meanwhile they now have your contact information to spam you with. Those job postings are of very little value as they are usually posted days if not weeks after they have appeared on the original website. By then most companies already have enough applicants to choose from. Just as most other things in life, you get what you pay for! How much effort is a website going to put into their service if there is no financial reward in the end?
