If you want to only have a job for 2 years that's the place to go. Contract with US Airways is up in 2015. No plans to renew contract and no plans to get larger aircraft. As of today US Airways is currently replacing some of AW routes with 170s at RP and giving some of RPs 170 routes back to mainline 190s.

I fine w/ a 2 year job. All Im looking for is a way to maintain currency and have travel benefits without having to commute.
Lets face it, why take a $25hr job if I could take $50+, but if thats all thats available, take it to fill your time.

I applied a few months back and got a phone call two weeks ago. The caller was putting together an interview list. The question was "if called would you show up for the interview"

Good luck in your career.

Really? Where did you hear that? It seems crazy that a place that has been successful for a number of decades would just, in essence, close up shop. I'm only asking because I have an interview with AW on Tuesday in ORF.

Ironically this was going to be one of my questions for them. What are your plans after your current contract expires in 2015?

Hope they figure something out because it does sound like a decent place to spend sometime at.

Gotta love the internet Unless GAPILOT36 has a crystal ball, he has no idea. Nobody knows what will happen with AWAC in 2015, especially some no name on the internet. Go interview with them, one of the better Regionals in the business I hear
