Planesense Hiring?

Hey Everyone,

Does anyone know anything about Planesense hiring? They're looking for SICs for winter and spring '14 classes. I've tossed them my resume (I meet all Part 135 IFR PIC mins, except total time...short by 50 currently, but actively instructing), and the automated email response said to expect a reply within 1-3 business days. That was 7 business days ago now. Any info is appreciated!

Last I heard there were half a dozen or so interview slots left for the winter class, but that was about a week ago. Up to 4 classes planned for next year depending on attrition. Having an address within 100 miles of PSM or PDK greatly increases your chances for an interview...

I definitely don't live anywhere near there, but would be willing to relocate if a position was available. Any idea of a contact there? There are a number of folks listed on their website with email addresses. I was toying with trying one with a job description most similar to pilot hiring/the flight department.

Check out this post. http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/fr...esense-10.html

The contact on one of those posts is probably the best. I would explain in your cover letter or email that although you are not currently residing within 100miles, you are very interested in relocating... They will not pay your transportation to the interview though.

Great company, great people. I exceeded their mins but they aren't interested, probably because I live far away.

flyman128, I'm still on "probation" with the forum so I'm unable to see the post. I'll hopefully have access soon though!

I interviewed there several months ago and can't say enough good things about them. Sounds like a great operation with decent pay and good QOL.
