I love that the starting salary to second year didnt have the disparity of what was endured this last decade. Also, proof that you didnt need a college degree to get on to fly heavy metal. YIP???

I think you may have misread the first year pay. It is not stated in the ad but I recall it was $500 mo. First year pay has always been low. Also flat pay. You got paid the same if you flew 60 hours or 100 hours.

Age 32 was usually the max age. In those days the military had a three year obligation after pilot training. UAL was about the only major that would allow glasses. I was turned down by NWA because I was too short. Had to be between 5'10" and 6'4". I'm 5'9".
