Default Tax Free

Be assured, there is no such thing as 'Tax Free for US Citizens' -actually, you're the only nation in the the world that pays tax on worldwide earnings. You will be taxed at normal US rates, Social Security etc. You won't pay tax in Chine however...

The first $100,800 is free of U.S. taxes. After that you are taxed at normal rates, minus any local taxes paid.

Social Security taxes become an issue if you are setup as a "self employed" contractor.

Regarding the TAX on US Citizens, please refer to IRS Form 2555 (foreign earned income). Every Year, there is a limit on what your tax free amount is. If you make less than that amount including housing allowances etc and do not stay in the US for more than x amount of days, YOU DO NOT PAY TAXES. I have been doing it for the last 17 years
