Gentlemen,
I made it through the interview and waiting for a class date. Interview was as advertised; Day 1 -(computer tests) Personality inventory abt an hour, job knowledge was about an hour and easier than I expected, and my nemesis the Cognitive skills test about an hour and the hardest part in my opinion of the whole process. Sign up and practice Luminosity, I wish I did. Day 2- a 2 Ret Capt panel interview with the standard questions and a situation based interview where you are in a paper cockpit and they put you in an impossible situation and want to see you make the best of it and use solid logic to back up your decisions. I went through interview prep with Emerald Coast and highly recommend it.
I flew in early the day before Day 1 and checked out the morning of Day 2 since we were finished by lunchtime both days ; 2 nights total at the Courtyard Nonconnah with the FedEx rate of $71.
The HR ladies guiding us through the process and even the interviewers were extremely nice, accommodating and tried to relax us as much as possible and truly WANT you to pass. They said they're bringing in as many as 35 new hires a month for quite a while with openings in all the aircraft and almost all bases.(need 350-400 just to keep up with retirements + 400 or so for expansion with the new aircraft coming in)
My stats: USNA grad with mediocre grads, Line Check airman TT 5500, TPIC 2500, had my application in for a dozen years, got the call in mid-Dec and interviewed last week, expecting an early Feb class.

From their website. They're only hiring instructors..

FedEx is currently hiring line pilots. The application window for new applications however, may not be open...meaning if you have an app on file they can and are pulling apps and hiring people. If you don't have an app on file and the window is closed then you're out of luck until the window opens again. I'm not sure why apc is reflecting that there is no hiring taking place.
