Default Alaska Lounge

Is anybody on here a member of the Alaska Lounge? Is it worth it for a pilot to consider a membership? Would be nice while commuting home from work or maybe during pleasure travel, but there’s only Alaska’s 4 hub airports that have locations and the website seems to indicate that you must have a “purchased” same day ticket to gain admission to at least the AA partner lounges. Possibly to all locations.
That seems like it leaves us out?

Thanks, all.

I had the Amex Platinum in the past and I now have the Chase Sapphire Preferred. Both give you Priority Pass, which gets you into the Alaska Boardroom among a host of other clubs at most airports. There are also some airports, PDX for example, that have a number of participating restaurants or bars which will knock $$ off your bill if you produce your Priority Pass card.

It is a great deal and a nice respite when traveling.

Don't go in while in uniform.

Looks as though most of the relevant cards have high enough annual fees that I could spend the same money on an Alaska Lounge membership outright.

I was gonna do the Sky Club since they have so many locations but they’re about to change their policy to require a Delta Boarding Pass for entry.

Can non rev seat request cards be coupled with an Alaska Lounge membership to gain admission or does it need to be a full fare ticket?

From a friend who is a concierge. A boarding pass for day of access is required. She said no exceptions. No nonrev passes of any sort/ no V class passes/ no DHD passes. Alaska employees may not use the lounge traveling to work, while at work or traveling home from work. Alaska no longer has a reciprocal agreement with American or Delta.
Not sure if that is what you are looking for

Mostly, yes. I was looking to use the lounge during leisure travel but if non rev passes won’t work for that then I guess I’m buying a Sky Club membership.

How about an award winning lounge in Seattle? https://www.bizjournals.com/seattle/...nge-award.html

Yeah. My folks are both Delta flight crew. I’ve been in that lounge a few times. It’s pretty awesome. Problem being I can only use AS or QX tickets to get in for one year. In 2019, it’ll have to be Delta tickets.
