Is Horizon a Stable Place to Go?

Are there lifers at QX? Yep. Are there lifers at other regionals? I'd imagine there are, but I won't comment on that because I don't work at any other regional (see what I did there?). Having lifers at QX does not take away from career progression. What we both agree on is that you shouldn't be setting your sights on staying at a regional.

The point I was trying to make is that you are making comments as if you work at QX, when in reality you are getting second hand and possibly dated information. My internet sarcasm is weak.

Not picking on QX, but how would having lifers at ANY regional not take away from career progression.
Ultimately, every lifer I would assume would eventually end up a captain, just from seniority. If half your pilots were lifers, ultimately FO upgrades to captain would have to stop altogether.
And even lesser numbers of captain lifers (say 20% of the captains) would mean you had 50% of the pilots (FOs) waiting for the attrition from the other 80% of the captains (40% of total pilots).
How could that NOT slow down career progression, since part of career progression requirements in many majors is that coveted TPIC?
Again, not picking on QX, just spouting queuing theory.

Hawgwild, I appreciate your internet skills.
Escargotdog, go apply to Compass already. You know it's what you want to do. You've trolled here plenty, and we've forum-tussled before.
Who here is old enough to remember Kip Darby? On 9/10/01 the future had never been brighter. Only took me 16 years to get my flying career on track.
Don't be snively and entitled.

All good. I think they backed away a little from the employment prediction business and into a more lucrative area, Litigation.
