Default Flight Path II in FLICA

Ummm...what IS that?
I went looking to scope out the possibility of bidding PDX for Rocktober. I know it's early, I just wanted to imagine the splendour...and I came across Flight Path II (as opposed to vacancy bidding) for Oct.

Oh, I'm so behind. I can't find ANY "any" key. I didn't even finish Flight Path Un and already there's a Deux.

Answers?

I have no idea, is it another rah rah koolaid seminar? Last year the pilots were banned from going because the posters we made during Arts and Crafts time were too negative

The counselors say I am making good progress...I may get the crayon box with the built-in sharpener for posters! They say it's too early for markers (sniffing), pencils of color (stabbing) and glue (eating), but otherwise I fit right in at QX.

Someone probably figured that since we have Shiny Jets (going to Pasco), there's no possible way the QX pilots are still disgruntled and sarcastic, and we certainly have nothing but deep and abiding respect for North Brad and his minions.

I wonder how asking "Since Alaska sponsored a concert to raise awareness of homelessness in Seattle, why do they throw a tantrum every time someone suggests they pay a living wage?" would go over?

We'll see how long we are invited after we show up with our dank memes.

Hey now, unless I read it wrong (still fairly new to PBS, highly likely) there aren't even turns to PSC for September in the jet.

So much for coming on here and getting people in the know as to what this might be.... other than bidding on days from 1230-1830....

Snacky had it right the first time - it's just a company koolaid meeting. I managed to get out of the last "mandatory" company cultural seminar (QX Factor), but had to go to Flightpath I. The only semi-productive thing to come out of the meeting was having lunch with one of our Dispatchers.

It's funny that the company hasn't sent out anything about Flightpath II. Our managers must know that most pilots view it as a total waste of time, so perhaps they just put it up on Flica and hoped most people would miss it. I'm hoping to procrastinate long enough for the company to run out of Q400 captains, which means I can go fly airplanes instead of hearing six hours of meaningless management-speak.

It will probably be credited low enough to force an extra 2-3 day trip on our lines...

The secret to delay if not going all together is bid Pass in FLICA. I did that last time for QX factor. Never went. Of course it was common knowledge the company only expected 75-80 percent of the pilots would attend due to staffing.
Knowing how FLICA works. 1. Takes the people who bid to go. 2. eliminates those that bid Pass. 3. Then drafts those that don't bid.
