George Brett went almost as postal as Beebo when his pine tar placement earned him an early shower that fateful night in Yankee Stadium - arguably the most angry anything baby blue has ever been.

One man’s opinion, but your original Brett comment was an underrated gem that deserved more attention brought to it!

The conspiracy theories are fun to read though, along with this entire thread.
Believe it or not, there was a substantial spine that was deeply rooted and somehow, it vanished. "Conspiracy Theory" usually means "Unspoken Truth".

Don’t blame me for the thread resurrection, blame Rolling Stone.

The symptoms and descriptions of him mentioned in the article certainly don't rule out CTE. They probably weren't able to do any tissue samples to confirm that theory.

well, if he didn’t have traumatic cerebral encephalopathy BEFORE the crash, he definitely did afterwards…

And in several places.

Some in the cockpit, some off the left wing, some off the right wing.

You know, I noticed after deployment that I was pretty callous towards death. It caused a lot of heartburn with my family that I didn’t appropriately show sympathy. But even then, I don’t think I would have come into this section of all places and joke about the loss of our coworker. Know your audience...

I’ll concede that he was more considerate than the GermanWings guy:

But when someone steals an aircraft, crashes it and kills themself, it’s difficult to view them as the victim whatever their previous history. There are lots of people who have had bad $h|t happen to them in their lives that didn’t do that.
