As new f/o on E-175, what is avg # flt hours
I'm not sure, but as a new f/o on the E-175, with a SEA base, it seems like I would be on reserve for awhile, and only flying 20-30 hours a month because there is an oversupply of E-175 pilots?
If this is incorrect, what is the average # of flight hours a junior SEA based f/o is racking up? How long does it take to get off of reserve? Thank you for any info. |
So I finished my LOE in the first week of May and have been on reserve ever since.
I'm not saying that an FO that starts now will be on reserve for the same amount of time. With the new jets qx is supposed to receive that shouldn't happen, but that's just my opinion. |

Lineholders are in the 75-80 hour range. Reserve not so much. 10-20 hours. This may (or may not) change by the end of the year when we have more 175s on property. We appear to be overstaffed as the company is adding more vacation weeks and offering time off without pay.
