Does Horizon care where u live? I’ve heard they choose pilots who live in the northwest vs people who dont

It's anecdotal, but one of the interviewees I was with was from Florida and got a CJO. But he also had an impressive military resume.

A transcon commute for regional reserve? You might as well just jump in front of a truck. Less painful...

I commute from EUG to PDX. I was able to get PDX based right out of training. The drive is easy and you start off in MFR so either base is drivable. SEA is easy to commute to. I have friends that do it from EUG. Between us and DL flying between the two cities, there's a flight every couple hours. I was able to get a line after a few months out of training. I'm in the same boat, I don't want to move. Lemme know if you have any questions. Happy to help.
