Not to mention you will have commuter protection here vs the airline that will base you in LGA....

As a followup to the OP, I was browsing the recent months schedules for ERJ FOs.
SEA Most junior lineholder: 5/29/18
PDX satellite base junior lineholder: 3/19/18
*There were a good number of senior FOs on reserve for December. I'm assuming they don't want to fly which helps the junior folk.
Overall, it appears to have gone more junior in recent months with the delivery of a batch of airplanes. Several more on their way.

For those that have not been around this industry, we can say that ‘as of right now, ERJ FOs are sitting reserve 5 months, Q captains 4-5 years.’
This industry changes. At my first airline when I upgraded at 24 months, they were speculating that upgrade was going to drop to less than 1 year. A year later, the airline furloughed 15%, downgraded a bunch and upgrade went to 8 years.
Unfortunately, hindsight is 20/20. 5 years from now you (might) know if you made a good decision or not. A lot can change in those 5 years including reserve times, upgrade times, etc.... If you are unsure about picking a company, look at reserve rules, commuting rules, fluidity (how often they are changing CPA carrier contracts....) pay and benefits package.... and pick the one that works best for you and your current situation.

Upgrades and reserve change pretty fast here. When the 175's were first announced, it was assumed they'd go stupidly senior, but for various reasons, really junior people have had no problem upgrading into it in SEA.
If/when they open a full PDX base for the 175, that will probably go very senior, but since Air Group appears to be swinging in the dark as far as long term plans go (their "long term plan" changes several times a year, and a recent round of firings means it's probably done so again), no one has any clue what's going to happen here more than about 6 months down the road.

DEC: no but you may bid for an upgrade when you have completed 75% of FO training.
Your upgrade may ignore the internal QX time requirements, which is considered on a per case basis.
Class assignments are months out, so get your app in asap.
