PAE satellite base

Any speculation as to how senior, middle of the road or junior PAE could go (if it happens by April 1)? 30 crews (60 pilots)....

I was recently told that the start of service has been postponed there until March and there are no foreseeable plans to make it a crew base.

Correct (PAE service to start March 4), but we (QX pilots) just received an email asking how many pilots would be interested in a PAE satellite base starting April 1.

Thanks for sharing the email info. I just got a job offer last week and have a stable living situation in Everett so I’d love to hear more about this as/if it develops.

I received a job offer last year and am waiting for a class date for the jet. PAE would absolutely be my first choice for base. I have no idea if that’s even possible for a newbie.

What I'm hearing is there is not a lot of interest in PAE Satellite base. Being the company can't assign a Satellite base the staffing will need to commensurate with volunteers for PAE. That will drive the number of aircraft assigned to that base. I would imagine you would have better luck trying to figure out when you will be hit by lightning than when a new hire will get PAE base.
The problem with the PAE base is constintuensy is fairly limited to:
1. Generally someone that lives in the area north of SEA.
2. Wants the base.
3. In the correct status for the base(E175 and correct seat).
4. Commutable if applicable.

It's official - Paine satellite base opens 04/01/2019. One of our base chief pilots just sent out an E-mail asking people to bid on it if they want it.

.....April fool's? 😄

Maybe they aren't getting as many bids as they hoped for. CP had to send out an email reminding people the bid was ending in 3 days.
