OO has more 175s flying for AS than Horizon
To date, Skywest operates 40 E175s to Horizons 30. Skywest just got another 8 175s last month and I’m not sure how many horizon added. There are 32 Qs at horizon, but are you worried that Skywest will get more of the 175s?
Im looking for a San Diego base and it looks like Skywest clearly has the advantage with growth and job security. |

A San Diego base will never happen at QX so OO should be good for you

A OO pilot here. Go to QX. More movement and growth, % wise there the next year…. If being based in SAN is a must well then don’t listen to me…

We’re expected to have a 50% turnover in pilots within a year and a half at Horizon, so if you can get in early here it’d work out swell for seniority. Can’t speak for OO but I imagine the SAN base is pretty darn senior, especially on the captain’s side.

Horizon receiving 9 175’s added to a total 30 is a massive jump, and if those attrition numbers are correct I’d go to Horizon if you’re willing to move to one of their domiciles. |
